Which text case should you use?

Typed a whole paragraph with Caps Lock on? Need a heading in proper Title Case, or a variable name in snake_case? Instead of retyping, paste your text above and convert it in one click.

Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence. It is the most natural choice for normal writing, emails and most website headings. Title Case capitalises the main words and keeps short words like "of", "and" and "the" lowercase, the way book and article titles are usually written. Capitalized Case capitalises every word, which some people prefer for names and labels.

UPPER CASE is good for short labels and warnings, but long passages in capitals are hard to read and can look like shouting. lower case is handy for cleaning up text before reformatting it. aLtErNaTiNg and InVeRsE case are just for fun.

Programmers can use camelCase and PascalCase for variable and class names, snake_case for Python and database columns, and kebab-case for URLs and CSS class names. Each line is converted separately, so you can paste a whole list.

The converter never knows which words are names, so sentence and lower case will lowercase names like "Delhi" or "iPhone". Check proper nouns after converting. If you change your mind, use Undo to get your previous text back.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Title Case keeps short words like "a", "of", "and" and "the" in lowercase (unless they start or end the title). Capitalized Case makes the first letter of every single word a capital.

Why were names like "Delhi" or "iPhone" changed?

The converter cannot tell which words are names or brands, so sentence case and lower case lowercase them too. Fix any proper nouns by hand after converting.

How do I undo caps lock text?

Paste the text and click "Sentence case". Every sentence will start with a capital letter and the rest will be lowercase.

Is my text stored anywhere?

No. Conversion happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. Your text disappears when you close or refresh the page.

Does it work with multiple lines?
